1. Just to add my story... I bought my car from the UK 18 months ago and now I'm shipping it back again. I've gone from a 20ft to 40ft which didn't cost a lot more. I had accumulated extra stuff so had to do it anyway. When it arrives in the UK, I'll get the car insured and then drive to the nearest MOT (which you are legally allowed to do). Get an MOT. You've then got 14 days to sort out the new rego plate with the DVLA (80 GBP plus cost at Halfords to make the plate up). Coastie.

Roll call

I'll be moving back to England (Somerset) in January when my current work contract finishes. Currently living in Adelaide. I love Adelaide but my heart is in England. Coastie.
3. Sorry a bit late but the feedback I've got from several defence companies is that there are very few defence jobs being advertised and, when they do advertise, they get lots of applicants who are already Australian Citizens. Therefore no incentive to go through the Citizenship Waiver process. Coastie.
4. If you are taking the lamps then surely the light bulbs will still fit. It makes no odds where the lamps are ? Am I missing something?
5. Many thanks for your reply Boberts. Nobody in the UK, apart from my mother knows my address in Australia so I should be okay. Coastie.
6. I was amused / shocked / intrigued at the news reporting here (Aus). I agree with you. They just don't report half the stories. ABC isn't too bad though. Also you'll be watching the news and all of a sudden someone walks in and try's to sell you a set of stoneware pots and pans! Bizarre!
7. I would love to live out of the city but there aren't any skilled jobs. Also what about South Australia?
8. Hi, I don't want to go into any detail but there is a chance that someone may make a claim against me in the UK small claims court. As I am now an Australian Permanent Resident, can they still do that? How will they contact me? How will they get the money if they win? Any advice would be appreciated. Coastie.
9. Thanks for the info. I've signed up and the call quality has been excellent! Coastie.

Rabies

Our cats results came back after 4.5 weeks. Don't know why it took so long but we got the positive result anyway.
11. The right to withhold spent crime information does not apply to the immigration department. They are exempt by law. I would advise that you employ a migration agent to put your case forward to IMMI.
12.

Hi. Whats your question?

13. I've an HND in Electrical Engineering and went the CDR route. As stated above, if you have HND plus relevant experience then Professional Engineer would be the way to go. CDR is hard work so best of luck. Coastie.

15. Try this. http://www.marinetraffic.com/ais/ Or just Google ais. There are a few tracking sites. Also an app called ship tracker on iPhone and iPad. You need to know the name of the vessel though. Coastie. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
