Hi, If you like eating out then the sunshine coast would suit you as Noosa, Caloundra, Mooloolaba and the hinterland such as Malany,Montville, Budrim all have terrific eateries. There are also a lot of small wineries near that area that serve food etc :biggrin:. The only thing I will say, the closer you get to the sea the higher your rent. As someone said the carbon coils are mozzie coils that you light around dusk and they usually burn for a couple of hours. For rentals look on realestate.au another good link is the couriermail.com as that is the state newspaper and has links for cars etc at the top of the page. I am from Brisbane so if you need further information message me .......... I can only give you limited information about schools as its been a while since my young adults were at school and two chose an academic focused high school where as the other went a commercial based high school, both were based in Caboolture

Hi Jennix....... you are right the counter is to show me the amount of people visiting the site, not tickets sold, there have been tickets sold but not worth doing a draw yet as it would not even cover the cost of the web site. Some feed back taht I have had is that people are waiting until the last 500 tickets. I have started a few different ways to advertise, including a BIG sticker across the back of my car and thought that it was really getting people interested but it would appear that it was you experimenting.....

Ha Ha ha Perthbum, tickets are still selling and have asked the site developer to remove the block on international sales as an English friend who is taking long term leave in France cannot buy a ticket ............. so all going well that should be sorted soon and any returning UK people should be able to purchase tickets

Do you still travel on an oz passport as I think that is the only way to renounce your oz citizenship unless you took out citizenship wlsewhere

Hi, where you live will depend on where you find employment. Don't live on the sunshine coast if working in Brisbane ......... Traffic on a Sunday afternoon on the freeway from the sunshine coast can be bumper to bumper... apparently people forget there are otherways into Brisbane and only use the freeway. Do you like lights and eateries if so the sunshine coast, or do you like rural if so slightly west of Caboolture such as Wamuran and Woodford might suit better, Nambour is a growing town as I went there last visit but had not been there for a few years .......... lots of alternative lifestylers there. Would you be renting or buying?

HEYYYYYYYYYYY I got my confirmation email .............. I am registered and now just have to sell enough tickets in my house raffle and then I can go back home .......... Its taken a good 12 months from start to finish , mainly because they mistyped my email address and archived my file and took a trip home to sort it and find out the solicitor who had signed all my docs was not suitable so had to get them all signed by a JP at the loacal court house ...... all 76 docs and only cost £25 and then posting it all back to Oz 3 months ago.............................

Hi, its all docs that need submitting to AHPRA that need a JP or notary to sign them as a solicitor will end up wasting money as its not accepted by AHPRA.......... my first lot were done by a solicitor and they were refused and I had to get them all redone :arghh:

Hi Jamie, unless your solicitor was a notary or a Justice of the peace, they will not accept your docs as that was what I did and it got refused and I ended up paying a further fee of £25 to get the local JP at the magistrats court to re do all 76 documents. Good luck

Many australian know that eucalyptus trees have a reputation of being widow makers due to the falling branches, this came about when the men were working around the base of the tree, either witha tractor or plow and the vibration would shake the tress and termite damage would cause the branches to fall on the men............... so please do not build a tree house in a eucalyptus tree as it would be very unsafe

I have been away from home nearly 15 years , leaving 3 near adult children, and when I go home at least once a year its very much quality time with my children. Now at least one takes the entire time off work to spend with me while I am home, they have also broadened their own lives by coming to me here as well and we spend that time travleling around and again spending the time together with as little time apart. We chat often and leave off line messages when we cannot chat as they have busy lives and they are capable independant adults who support me to do what I want to do so long as I am happy.

My son has been trying to get a job in the mines for nearly 3 years and he is a local..... no response so yes Gillard should ensure that the jobs go to the Australian people first, Rineheart? wants to bring in 1700 people mainly because they will accept lower wages not because they have skills that Australians do not have

that price is probably right as the fares depend on the seasons and you will be flying out during the high season here in the UK and possibly coming back in the high season from Oz.

My second lot of docs were posted in Oz on or about the 10/5/12, not heard a word from them yet......... after they mistyped my email address the first time I would at least like confirmation they received them

I supplied a job description ( that is supplied when applying for a job) with mine to explain the tasks I am expected to undertake as a mental health nurse

Hi, there is a time limit on it, but not a closing date, as stated on the site if the total tickets are not sold then the draw will go ahead and they will win the cash amount less the donation to the hospice and the cost of the web site, I will bear the fees from Paypal myself. 3095 is the number of visitors to the site and sorry to say but not all have purchased a ticket but some have purchased several as you can purchase up to 10 tickets per person. I do the trip fairly often and arriving at a time that allows a few hours awake to have a meal and basic unpack and then on to bed is best, otherwise I find that I wake at all hours and takes several days to settle into the time difference, but then again I have landed in the UK at midday and gone to work at 9 pm and worked all night for 6 nights in a row ..........

I often travel with Emirates and they are good with children .... stop overs are Dubai naturally and then can fly direct to Brisbane at least, not sure about other cities but can also stop in Singapore if you want to ......... I have tried other air lines and keep coming back to Emirates. BTW who ever you fly with ........ take out a membership card in their frequent fliers program ........

Mine was a full passport but no need for a visa as I am australian ...... I did think it was more but forgot to query if it was the full amount
