  1. I suppose you meant 5 December 2013. I have applied on 28 November 2013, so one week before you, and I have received the response on 04 April 2014. There is a certain delay in VETASSESS processing, but I do not think is that big.
  2. Just ended 17 weeks today. From tomorrow into the 18-th week... No news. LE: Positive assessment result received on 07 April. EOI lodged last week. Finger crossed on SS...
  3. To claim the partner points, the partner needs to pass the skill assessment also. And will only give 5 point making a total of 55 + 5 from the state sponsorship=60 which is still not enough. Except IELTS I do not see any other way to get more points. Maybe partner points combined with Skilled Regional (Provisional) visa (subclass 489) which will give you 10 points instead of 5 with a total of 65 but with the disadvantages the 489 brings. Getting 7 in IELTS is faster and easier. You just need to prepare specific on the format of the exam not on general English language. Good luck. LE: I am not sure about the calculation of the points. I was aware that the pass mark was 65 points - so in the case of 190 visa 60 points plus 5 from SS. I might be wrong and the pass limit is 60... According to http://www.immi.gov.au/Visas/Pages/190.aspx "You must score at least 60 points against points test factors to be eligible to be invited to apply for this visa." so the partner points should be enough. Partner points requirements: Partner skills You can receive five points if, when you are invited to apply for this visa, your partner provides evidence that they: were under 50 years of age had at least competent English had nominated an occupation on the same skilled occupation list as your nominated occupation had been assessed by the relevant assessing authority as having suitable skills for the nominated occupation.
  4. Indeed, I have also received confirmation from them via e-mail that posting documents is no longer required if the upload has been done. Also, there might be some glitches with the system as it is new and is not fully working so it seems that we need to be patient. http://www.vetassess.com.au/migrate_to_australia/qa2_applying_assessment.cfm - "You need to login into the online system, download and print the 'application record'. Sign the application record (applicant and agent). You can then upload scanned colour copies of the application record and all other required documents onto the online system. Alternatively, you can send the original signed 'Application Record' and all other required documents and assessment fees, to VETASSESS by post or courier (see mailing address below)." Cheers.
  5. I have just received today an e-mail from VETASSESS informing that due to the large number of requests they have lately the assessment will take longer than usual (10 - 12 weeks they say...).
  6. Hi. Just wondering if anyone has any other information regarding the CRA jobs in Australia (working schedule and style considering the difference in distances between cities compared to European countries). I am from Romania and we are trying for a while already to migrate to AU. I have 5 years of experience after finishing the Medicine faculty. Until finding this topic I did not know that CRA job can be assessed for immigration purpose. Thank you for that. A new opportunity appeared. Also, any recent migrants under this job - any idea how states assess this job for state sponsorship for 176. I saw that Victoria has it on it's list on green for a while. Now I just need IELTS with more than 7 in each band (writing test killed me 2 times before by 0,5 points but in Academic so I have more hopes now that I will try General...). Thank you again for any help. Cheers. LE: I managed 8,5/8,5/7/8 at IELTS and now I'm preparing the VETASSESS doumentation. We'll see how this goes... LLE: 2 years, one child and a refused SS from Victoria later, this week we have received SS from Queensland.
