  1. Hey there:biggrin: I just came back from a trip that included Cairns/surrounding areas ( wish I was there now). I would recommend the Daintree rainforest and Cape Tribulation area, it`s stunning. We stayed in a hotel/hostel and the price wasn`t too bad, in large tents (with bathroom and beds ). The place is called Crocodylus village, great for when you want to feel like you are IN the rainforest. Close to Cow Bay, a very beautiful beach. Things to do up there - crocodile tours, fruit tasting, kayaking, hiking, swimming in a swimming hole in the rainforest (croc-free:biggrin:. For older kids they have some place with ziplines , we haven`t been to that one. As you head down to Cairns, you could make a stop in Port Douglas. In Cairns - trip to Kuranda, the Tablelands ( waterfalls), the lagoon on the Esplanade, reef trip ( pricey but soooo worth it IMO). You`ll have a great time:rolleyes:
  2. Hmmm don`t know, didn`t work in my personal experience :nah:
  3. Serves him right, hope he gets a new roommate soon - someone with the built of a professional boxer
  4. Haha for the REAL experience, try Aeroflot
  5. I only flew short distance with TA , from Riyadh to Istanbul. They were fine.
  6. Nothing to do with wealth really. Women who had relatives diagnosed with breast cancer before age 40 are routinely referred for genetic testing. If the particular gene causing breast cancer is found, they are recommended to undergo mastectomy with reconstructive/plastic repair at the same time. Skin and nipple stays, the mammary gland is removed and an implant is placed in. Looks good too. It`s covered by insurance (in US) because there is medical reason. The only think that they can`t do after surgery is breastfeeding.
  7. That`s a good idea. At her age it`s more than likely fibroma - a non-cancerous mass. The doc`s usually just watch them but hey, if it was my daughter or me, I would want it out.
  8. Colleague sent me a link months ago, I thought it was a prank/all funny stuff but they actually did a pretty good job IMO. I think that they definitely captured ladies` attention
  9. that`s how to do a proper check:wink: in case someone is unfamiliar with the technique
  10. We have a security guard at the Emergency entrance. Didn`t stop one of our patients last week who brough a gun in.... wanted to use it on himself. We have a police switch in the halls and desks, if someone hits anyone, his ass is going to be thrown out. I was hoping that there is a security guard in the hospital in Australia, I don`t know if it`s just the emergency department issue but we DO need them - usually just for hot heads to mellow a little
  11. I don`t know who`s brilliant idea that was , letting a trigger-happy idiots into a national park on a killing spree. I actually like snakes and I would love to see some in the nature - not in the zoo ( so far I`ve seen a green garden snake and a copperhead at the local park:biggrin:)
  12. Is it a baby? How long do they grow?
  13. As per my personal experience ( above) there is no difference and checks will be performed. We`ve been in US on permanent residency for 5 years and that gain a citizenship, still have to go through the checks regardless of US being "low risk country".
  14. I am not entirely sure what your post is about, processing time for a student visa? Here is a link: http://www.immi.gov.au/about/charters/client-services-charter/visas/2.0.htm hope it helps
  15. Hi Ranjith, we are going through external checks now. We`ve been living in the USA for the past 8 years and we are citizens. In the past we used to work and live in Saudi Arabia and we traveled a lot, some of the travels took us to "high risk" countries. So it seems that even if you just travel there, they want to make sure you aren`t involved in a criminal activity. Not a clue how long it might take but hoping for the best (shortest lol). It`s been processing since August 2012.
  16. And I thought I was doing the best thing... it didn`t even have feathers yet :frown: . I seriously need a manual about caring for abandoned/injured animals. I`ve got the post where Kate ( Pom Queen) described in detail how to check roadkill kangaroo for a joey in it`s pouch saved in my inbox.
  17. What happened to the baby sunbird? Did they parents still feed him outside the nest? I put a baby bird back to the nest once, looked it up the next day and it was dead . Not sure because it was injured in the fall or because it wasn`t fed.
  18. :chatterbox: :elvis::swoon: For real or just kidding ????? http://www.durexusa.com/?gclid=CKu42b_33rcCFRDl7AodRVwAjw&gclsrc=aw.ds

  24. You can send your AHPRA application to any office and when you receive your Letter of eligibility you can present to ANY AHPRA office to get your license. Lately it seems people had good experience with Adelaide and Darwin offices. Good luck!
