  1. You will need to double check this but I think you may only get a few points (1-3?) back after your licence has been suspended. I think you earn the remaining 9 points back over time. This is to encourage safe driving habits. Have to add that I am glad this change is coming in. It is long overdue and might get a few more dangerous drivers off the road.
  2. Perth is likely to get a light frost so goodness only knows why Simmo dug up a photo of an English summer to go with the article lol.
  3. Safe travels and happy landings Kev.
  4. If you are in the CBD try Tazio in Flinders Lane for great wood fired.
  5. I always sit in an isle seat no further than 5 rows from an exit. I figure if the plane goes down and I survive that my choice of seating will at least give me a fighting chance to get out lol
  6. OMG Kev :elvis: I shivered when I read that lol
  7. Congratulations on both your birthday and your visa.
  8. Something right up your alley Kev:yes: Enjoy.
  9. I don't think many people would. To the OP - you have been given sound advice as to how to find the type of work you want. If you elect not to take it that advice - more fool you. It isn't going to bother anyone on here if you get a job or not.
  10. I would much rather wait than have to submit an adjustment.
  11. Well Canberra has the 2015 World Champion Barista
  12. Have a look at places like Glenmore Park, Lapstone etc.
  13. Hope you are having a great time Kev. We enjoyed wandering around the gardens at Stourhead but watch out for the dog poo lol.
  14. Wasting people's time is not the way to make yourself known to potential employers. Don't apply for positions until you have a valid visa that entitles you to work in Aust.
  15. There was a time I would have agreed with you. However PIO has made me realise that for many people citizenship is nothing more than a convenience. That realisation has changed the way I think citizens not born in a country can be dealt with.
  16. Unless you were born in a country I think citizenship is a privilege rather than a right. And like all privileges I don't have a problem with it being taken away if it is abused.
  17. Written references haven't been used in Aust for many, many years. The agency you are going through should phone your Perth employer. I doubt you will have success any other way. They probably think it is strange this hasn't already occurred and are waiting to be contacted by phone.
  18. I used to hate it when vacancies in our Perth office became available due to the uproar that always eventuated with people wanting to move there. I was even followed into the ladies loo once by the HR manager who was complaining he was being harassed and wanted me to hurry up and sign off on the recommendation he had made so people would leave him alone lol
  19. Don't worry - I see posts like that about Aust all the time and they get likes as well :twitcy:
  20. There you go - I liked a post for you. Feel better?
  21. I believe my defence would stand up in court lol
  22. Geez don't get your knickers in such a knot - I was trying to do it (see previous post).
  23. I didn't call you a liar, I asked how long ago it was lol
