I think its worth about $20,000 ish. Thats what i would factor it in with. Along with fuel card etc

Dave i'm in Mount Lawley as well. On the guildford road. I've found it a bit weird that folk are in their bed early but i soon got used to it. No easy staying out on the beer when you are up at 6 to go to work. You play fitba or that?

Just cos they are offering a 457 doesnt mean the wages have to be so low. I mean how negotiable are they? I Wouldnt fancy trying to live out here on the lower to middle end of the scale. When you factor in buying tools etc it doesnt really leave you with a lot. I maybe wrong but i'm pretty sure there is a good few jobs out there offering more. I work on Abernethy Road and can think of 2 or 3 places that are offering more than being advertised here

I gave up with them and just came out to perth on a WHV. HAd a job in 3 days. Been here about 4 weeks now. If people are in the age bracket for a WHV i'd suggest they come out on that. There is loads of jobs and it gives a employer a chance to look at you and your skills before you get sponsored. Also gives you a hance to see if you like the company

I've got a wee samsung nc10. The thing i pretty sturdy. It even survived 6 months in Afghanistan with me. It is really light and does everything you need of it really. Only thing it doesnt have is a office program on it.

I'm the exact same mate. Had interview in november in london. Got in contact with them a few times and everything seems to have stopped. Frustrating isnt the word TBH

I'm going to be doing the exact same pretty soon. 1 bag is all i'm taking with me. I'm slowly getting rid of everything i own that i wont be taking with me. I'm really looking forward to it if i'm honest. If it doesnt work at least i only have my own arse to drag back to the UK

Although a little of topic i feel this will get answered here. If i was to be going across on a Working holiday visa do you get checked for how much money you will have for when you are there? If so what type of proof will be required. I was looking at going across with return flights and about $5000. The qualifications i have are in great demand but a lot of companys will only offer me work once i've actually set foot in OZ
