  1. Just a couple of questions, as some of you might have recently filled the online application for 176; 1. Where the details of family members are asked, i have added only my family members details (parents and siblings) as primary applicant. Where do I need to provide family details of my spouse (I mean her siblings and parents)? 2. They asked for relevant employment details, I added those two employments that I got assessed through VETASSESS. Should I add other employments as well which are 11 and 9 months only and one of them is relevant to the nominated occupation and the other not. However these two small duration employments were not assessed by VETASSESS, neither will they affect my points test. Regards,
  2. I need to know the same details....can somebody help....me and partner are married, so do I need to provide only my family members details or hers as well
  3. I believe if you have a marriage certificate issued by NADRA, then you dont need to get in to hassles of nikah nama translation and certification and all. Because, NADRA marriage certificate is already in both english and urdu.
  4. I have a question. After getting 176 granted, if a person does not want to shift immediately, is this possible under state sponsorship? Say a person gets 176 granted but at that very time, he is not ready for shifting, but would like to go only for holidays to Australia (And to that particular state which sponsored him) and then come back to wherever he is living & working currently. After this holiday trip, he decides that he will shift permanently to Australia (and to the sponsoring state) after two years. Is this possible?
  5. Dear All, I got the approval letter today just a while ago from WA for SSV (State Sponsored Visa). Now will apply to DIAC soon. Regards,
  6. I got an email today morning that "Your application for skilled migration to WA is currently being assessed." any other news for you guys
  7. It is concerning, as I also applied exactly on 18th March 2012 and have not heard back from them as yet. Dear Jag, please keep us updated of any news from them.
  8. Dear HallFamily, I had a similar issue, I have a BSc in Mechanical Engineering, while all my work experience is in QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety & Environment) in EPC/Oil&Gas sector. My current position is EHS Coordinator. I finally went for skills assessment through VETASSESS as "Occupational Health & Safety Advisor", which was successful. Hopefully this can help you in some way. You are most welcome to seek any other specific answeres. Regards,
  9. I am not exactly an EHO, however am OSH guy. I mean I am working in Occupational Health & safety and planning to migrate to Australia. I was just wondering that where did you apply for jobs for which you got interview calls as well. Because I have tried without any success.
  10. Thanks Waitingawhile. I have sent them an email today with the tracking number of DHL and name of the person who received my application record and documents.
  11. Hi everybody, My documents were received by VETASSESS on 26th October 2011, however I have still not received a confirmation/ acknowledgement email from them on receipt of documents? Is there anything to worry or is it that sometimes they do not contact you upion receiving documents and will only send you the assessment outcome (say after 4 months) Regards, mext
  12. Hi All, I am new here on the forum, and am seeking some opinion/ advice. I found this thread to be quite informative and related to my current profession, so putting this question here as well. My qualification is Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering and in my 7 years of work experience, the last five years are more relevant to Occupational Health & Safety Advisor role then hardcore engineering job. Though all this OSH experience is in Engineering/ Construction and Manufacturing companies. Some of my latest job roles are EHS Engineer, HS Auditor and EHS Coordinator. My question is that is there anybody out there who had a similar situation, and can thus guide me how to proceed. Should I apply to Engineers Australia or I can try my luck at VETASSESS. I used VETASSESS advisory service and there advice was completely vague about this. They said that though this is not a highly relevant degree, however this is evaluated at VETASSESS on a case to case basis. Also, is there anybody with similar situation who might have applied to Engineers Australia, who can guide me.
