  1. What visa are you going for? You only need the skills assessment when its for independent residency. Again, depending on the visa / experience, you might not need to do the english exam. The academic transcript gets sent directly from your UNI to AHPRA. I think the NMC statement of entry is the one originally posted to you. The may also accept a copy of your recent registration as well.
  2. I'd prefer it as an email attachment but according to the website and case officer it comes by post. The case officer mentioned a copy by email after I submit the reissue form but would still get a paper copy and need to pay the 60 bucks.
  3. ANMAC - letter of determination This has yet to arrive (nearly 3 weeks now) and ANMAC are wanting $60 and me to post them a form before they will issue another one. Is it just me or is it ridiculous that the cost of this is on me when I had nothing to do with it not arriving? Also the fact I need to post a form to them first is just delaying things further. Be glad when I don't need to deal with them anymore.
  4. Initially people were really disappointed but became a really positive party like atmosphere afterwards. Alcohol really helps ha! Still gutted though
  5. Anyone know of anything planned or keen to get involved in trying to arrange something? Friday the 19th of this month, but I'd expect people to know that
  6. Possibly moving to Melbourne in the next few months from Sydney. I'll be working in Fitzroy and would like to live inner city, 1 bus or tram away from work. Can anyone recommend any potential suburbs? Cheers
  7. I think Sydney has a backlog because mines is now being assessed by the Brisbane office. It was received 11th November and looked at 16th January, sadly my verification from NMC went missing so my application is incomplete, it's been resent to hopefully I'm registered soon because I'm due to start 12th March
  8. I posted my application 30th October 2011, it was recieved by the Sydney office 10th November. I'm in Sydney now, went to the office and showed my visa and passport but it's still not been looked at by anyone, bit worried now incase I need other documents
  9. Not sure about Adelaide but I've been told it will take up to 3 months to get registered in NSW
  10. Hi Can anyone recommend a tattoo studio / artist in Sydney? I know it's a bit random but I'm looking at getting my half sleeve completed so would rather go somewhere that does custom work, specifically japanese style tattoos. Don't mind waiting, actually a good sign if you need to wait normally. Thanks guys
  11. I would send copies of all your qualificatons
  12. Hi Nicola I would start the process now. It's actually not that complicated, if you go through the application form 1 section at a time. All of your supporting documents need to be certified as true copies of the original, a notary public can do this. You then need a CV and a letter from HR of your current employers to prove how much experience you have. Also contact your university who will send a transcipt of your course to ahpra. And contact the nmc who will send a statement of good standing also. Don't know if I'm forgetting anything. You also need to prove you have been 'taught' and 'assessed' in English for more than 5 years. I proved this by getting the uni and my school to write a letter showing this. Took me about 3 weeks to get all this before sending it away. Best of luck
  13. Is that the ahpra application? I've checked the criteria online and it's a little unclear if you require experience or not I've already been granted a working holiday visa Thanks
  14. Hello everyone I will qualify with a Bsc in Mental Health Nursing. Is there any potential problems registering with no post registration experience? Cheers Kevin
