  1. i just found my Australian citizenship cert, it'll be 20 years next April.
  2. first time four and a half years, second time four years and this time just over three.
  3. Next year hopefully, need to wait until after next October to qualify for an Australian pension.
  4. Unless it has the A-Tick mark, which is unlikely you'll be breaking the law if you use it in Australia. http://www.acma.gov.au/WEB/STANDARD.PC/pc=PC_1784#modemfax
  5. Good on you for giving it a go, and enjoy your return to Ireland, seems like a great place from my brief experience on holiday there.
  6. Did someone say that? must have missed it. actually talking of Steve Penk http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KNGb5venOJM
  7. I might agree with you if this had been a live broadcast, but it wasn't, it was recorded, reviewed and repeated over and over again, regardless of the possible consequences, yes the hospital did make mistakes but 2Day took a positive decision to broadcast, and to be honest to suggest that the hospital or the British press (who are the lowest of the low) share the same level of culpability as the radio station is laughable.
  8. Fair enough, but a prank? publicly humiliating a couple of nurses, is that funny? they must have known it could have cost those 2 nurses their job, do you think the presenters and station cared about that, it doesn't seem so to me.
  9. No, because I was replying to a post that quoted the original post. I quote from here http://www.communityradiotoolkit.net/the-toolkit-handbook/toolkit-chapter-eight/ofcom-regulations/
  10. Not sure what that has to to do with the point I made about it not making it to air in the U.K due to British law.
  11. An equally stupid and moronic act and the BBC were fined £150000 for putting it to air, I wonder what censure 2Day FM will receive.
  12. By law the nurse would have had to give permission in writing before the radio station were allowed to put the recording to air, do you think she would have done that?
  13. It started with a gross invasion of privacy, how anyone can find that harmless and amusing is beyond me, and it would never have been played on a U.K radio station.
  14. Any good? http://www.dayinsure.com/australian-and-new-zealand-drivers.aspx
  15. available with Tunein radio now, just downloaded the latest android app.
  16. [video=youtube_share;Ysz6E4LG9G0]
  17. True, but in the U.K they'll give you the 12 months tax free threshold even if you left part way through the year.
  18. Yes it does. using the U.K system the O.P would get a much bigger percentage of his tax back.
  19. It's possible, the last gas bill we payed was over $600 for two months.
