  1. Hi Guys, congratulations on your move. Just treat all those HR personnel or consultants as jewels, as a chance of them considering you for an interview is quire higher than those with whom you will establish a contact here.
  2. Hi Folks, Have Logged-in to this forum almost 3 months after arriving in Perth. It is really an amazing place to be, but at the same time keeps you so much busy in the initial 3 month period. Jourmey so far has been full of twists & turns, though very exciting, as anticipated back home after getting the approval. What I've heard from some of my newly made friends, here in Perth, that getting a job is relatively easier from other cities/states in Oz. The pay rates are the highest and life is very calm & laid back. I totally agree with all of these facts. Initially I planned to come on a visa activation trip then decided to give it a try with my fingers crossed. I now strongly support my decision. So to all the new comers, members who are yet to arrive and to those whose applications are under process, EAST OR WEST, PERTH IS THE BEST. With Regards, vasandanivikram
  3. Hi Fergamy, I've been a very silent but a regular member of this thread/forum. Congrats for your BIG move. We'll land in Perth on Friday Morning (05th October'12). Have already booked our rentals for the first four weeks in Wilson. There are just a few things which I wanted to confirm - 1) Were you allowed to carry any eatables (Spices, Noodles, Biscuits, Soups), of course all in sealed packages, since our Airlines (Thai Airways) has advised us to not to bring anything. As they say that eatables are not allowed in Australia. 2) Did you take some medicines with you (with prescriptions), for general ailments. 3) Any other last minute advise you would like toi give, which will help us in our journey. Cheers, Vasandanivikram
  4. Hi there, Please share what has happened with those who've registered/got accommodation through Gumtree, as it will help us all. I've registered myself with several forums for doing a research about the subject & got recommendations for Gumtree, though I will also give your opinion a thorough search and before landing into any deal will surely try my best to explore all possibilities, rest is for the Almighty to decide. Cheers.
  5. Telstra for sure. Though I've not yet travelled but a couple of friends/relatives are already using this network and are quite satisfied. Cheers...
  6. Hi Lisa & Robert, Congratulations!!!!! on your visa GRANT. Please go through Flatshare.com & Gumtree.com, both these websites have got immense information about short/long term accommodation in Perth. You can also refine your search by specifying your budgets (both Min & Max). There are several rooms available under the head shared accommodation, starting from 75$ and go until any amount. My suggestion would be to contact the landlords/agents on these websites around 15/09/2012 so that they are in a position to book your accommodations for October'12. Even I've been doing a thorough research on booking an accommodation and found these websites the MOST useful amongst all others. Cheers..
  7. Big congratulations.........to you jars !!!! Sorry for not being able to update about my status regularly, as was using this app on my phone most of the times!!! Mine got approved on 12/06/2012 and planning to move to wa in october. Keep in touch and have a bash tonight......
  8. Hi Tanmoy, Please share your location in India. I am based out of New Delhi. Can I go and get my medicals completed right away (DIAC lodged on 12/05/2012), will they not ask for a confirmation from case officer. Please share your exp. regarding the same.
  9. Hi Deb, When did you get to know about the assessment. Did you apply for the express coutier service (it costs $34). Which country r you located in, I can give u an idea of the tentative time it is going to take for the letter to be delivered. THere r 3 ways they send the outcome letter, Normal post, Express Courier & International Express. Express courier is the most expensive and fastest. Regards,
  10. Hi alcal75, Congrats for getting the +ve assessment result. I expect mine to be out anytime. Don't think that scanning this copy would be a problem. Every state govt. has got access to the results generated by assessing authorities and photograph not clear shold not be a reason to accept or not accept an application. Each & every body involved in this process knows the importance of this time. Still, you can confirm the same by giving them a call and also you can update the outcome on this site for the consumption of others !!!! Regards, Vick
  11. Hi Tanmoy & Other Members, I've checked my online tracking platorm for Vetassess 3-4 days back. I found another update by them (That the initial check has been done and no further docs are required at this time), this is the second update after the one quoted by Tanmoy below (which is a standard one and it starts appearing the moment your details are entered in their system). Just tothrow some more light on my case, my application was received by them on 13/01/12 and I'll complete my 16 weeks on 13/05/12. I plan to apply for WA SS in Fin. Ins. Branch Manager category. I am keeping my fingers crossed that the SS for WA does not get stop by that time. What I've come to know from my consultant, that it takes around 2 weeks for a WA SS to come. Let us hope for the best and apply to DIAC in the last week of May/First week of June and meet in Australia in 2013 (If everything falls in place for all of us, which will surely do). Please feel free to get in touch with me on singhvikramonline@gmail.com. Regards, Vikram [ QUOTE=Tanmoy;1370579]Dear Sherzod, Is the above comment appearing under as a Status for "Application Status". If so then I guess your application is moving. I have a comment saying "Your application record/form and supporting documents have been received and is currently being processed. If VETASSESS require any further documentation in order to proceed with this application you will be notified." However this is for Application received and was posted the day VETESSESS received the hardcopies of the my application. Just for your info, I called up VETESSESS yesterday to know the status of my application. This is the 11th week since they have received the hardcopies of my application, and they said that an assesor will not be assigned anytime before mid April and after that it is going to take one more month to the assessment. :arghh: ~Tanmoy
