Hey guys...DIAC's website says it take 4 weeks for 885s to be allocated a case officer. Its been nearly 4 weeks already...but Im thinkin it may be delayed because of the holidays? Should I be asking DIAC?

Hey prashyt...Documents are all with the agent....I think he might be on holidays..havent heard from him in a while....I dont really care if I get it later to be honest...as long as I dont have to wait a year or two to get a case officer Im happy enough!ie dont wish to do another overseas police clearance and medical all over again!

Hey Mummy mann... Dont worry all good no stress!! At least Im onshore and have a job! So its all good! Plus 12 calendar days for a CO seemed a bit too surreal....but stil really wanna find out if different occupations are processed at different rates.....

Hey mummy mann I dont think I have a CO.Was talking to a friend today and she said that it shows 'application processed further' because some admin guy's had a look at it and go yea ok...Wonder what the next update's going to be like...My agent did say 1-2yrs for case officer to be allocated...and another friend said there are different priorities for different occupations even within Cat 4..confusing.oh well.

hang on..i also did read somewhere that it also means someone's picked up your case and looked at it..doesnt mean its being processed or smth..oh well....

Hey guys just wonderin, does anybody know if theres different categories within each priority? Ie in Cat 4 there are occupations that are processed faster than others? Was told by my agent that Cat 4 visas can take up to 24 mths for a CO to be assigned but from the looks of it it seems like its not??

Thanks prashyt Also I was told there are different priorities in different categories. Is that true? Diac's website says they are allocating CO for oct applicants buti was told I have to wait at least a year to get a Co by my agent.
