  1. Hi Laura, thanks for the info. Did you put your GCSEs and O levels on your CV or just your professional qualifications?
  2. Hi, I am not sure for a Working Holiday Visa as going for PR. I know processing times for registration are up to 6 months depending on what state you register in.
  3. I think I will send certfied copies for employment statements of service, but original for reference and see what happens Tracey x
  4. Hi Laura, Looking at Adelaide, Melbourne or Sydney, but will see where the jobs are. Tracey x
  5. Hi Donna, I am a paediatric nurse so am looking at Westmead Hospital in Sydney, or going to Melbourne or Adelaide. Where are you hoping to go? I am going to go the Expo in July to see what info they can give me. Are you finding the agent good? I did consider that, but it is such a lot of money so trying it alone. Tracey x
  6. Hi Donna, Thanks for that. Am just sorting out the ANMC stuff, trying to work out how to approach work as I am doing two courses at the moment and I don't think they will be happy. Have you had your skills assessment back, or did you wait a few weeks and then send off AHPRA today so both are in the pipeline?
  7. Does anyone know, the statements of service and employers reference for AHPRA and ANMC, do they have to be the original that is sent or a certified copy?
  8. Hi Laura, I have done the IELTS and got 7 for reading, 7 for writing, 8 for listening and 8.5 for speaking. I was really surprised that I passed, it was the worst thing I have ever done, I am currently doing my MSc degree and it was worse than that. My school has closed so I can't get anybody to verify, other than my English exam certificates. Should I tick no on AHPRA form as I have done IELTS? I am in the process of getting all of the documents together to get them certified, but haven't heard back from the NMC or the Justice of the Peace yet. Still have to tackle work as well, not sure how that will go as I am doing two courses through work so they won't be happy. Think I might send off the IELTS result to ANMC now whilst waiting as it is free to send as I did exam within last month. Then if it gets lost, I will just pay again, I am not losing anything as it is free this time. Have you done your skills assessment? Where are you hoping to get a job?
  9. I am just updating my CV ready for registration with AHPRA, and wondered if you just put down the work history for the relevance to them, such as nursing jobs, not prior to nursing. Also, do I need to include my school examinations, or just from nurse qualification.
  10. Hi Amanda and Donna, I have received one reply saying that it is best to get registered first with AHPRA and then do modifed assessment as it is cheaper. Can you do this or do we need to get full assessment first, being from the UK. I passed my IELTS this week with overall score of 7.5 so well chuffed. I am a little confused about documentation. It says that NMC and IELTS and transcripts have to come direct from the provider to the organisation, not from us. How will they know if is for us, as the application won't be with this documentation, do I ask them to send this information before I send application, or afterwards. Sorry, I am just starting out, so very confused in the whole process. I have plenty of time as I don't want to go until Sept 2012. Will ANMAC forward documents including IELTS, NMC and transcripts to AHPRA, saving us getting additional certified copies?
  11. Hi all, I am just starting out the process myself. Found out today that I have passed the IELTS with an overall score of 7.5, so rather shocked. Am trying to get the transcripts now from the universities. Am a bit confused as to what to do next. Do I need to do the skills assessment next, and then get registered before getting a job and sponsored visa option.
