    Sponsorship

Thankyou, I have been a member for a while and am aware of the rules. I also have a thread advertising for a service advisor, I would never shoot someone down in flames who had an honest query, your post reads `Unlikely to get sponsorship for that occupation see the CSOL.`` Not very helpfull or `guiding`` in anyway, but extremely negative. Seek has many companies advertising for garage staff, many willing to sponsor, my employer across 6 dealerships have sponsored over 50 people mostly into regional areas of the Nt and SA. Even with the new rules from first July has meant little or no change for those seeking a 457 into a regional area and has opened up new pathways for those who dont want to move the mddle of a large city. Mperry, good luck with the move and hope you find a sponsor soon.

    Sponsorship

I know of garage groups who are sponsoring, and I have no idea about the csol or any other list, since you arent chasing a skilled visa thay are irrelavent. Since the job is `very experianced tenchnical sales /customer service`` than the role can be sponsored as either 457 route or RMS if moving to a regional area. If you don`t mind working in the country away from Melbourne or Sydney. My company has sponsored for this roles into Adelaide and Whyalla within the last couple of weeks. Send me a message

    Sponsorship

Will depend on how much experiance etc. How long have you been on the front desk? Franchise etc.
  6. You can go the sponsored or skills asessed visa, or at your age, do a working holiday visa and have a good look around for a year-). Plenty of work in WA and the NT at the moment
  7. Hi there, its a difficult one. My inlaws were completley against and my familly for. I made the point that they no longer lived with their parents, had moved out, moved etc. Down the line as the news from the Uk has got worse the letters to my mrs are very positive about the move and congtatulating us. When we left to get on the plane I said to the outlaws that they were not losing a daughter but gaining a holiday destination, they have come round in the end . Good luck.
  8. Well done, better start packing -)
  9. I started the process over three years ago, and am now in the Nt, I applied for over 200 jobs before I got a real flood of offers.
  10. Hello, We are moving to Bunbury soon, where we will be renting. Does anyone know if the advertised rental price includes council and water rates? Many thanks for your help
  11. Ouch, its often really hard to persuade women to make the move. It maybe that she sees this a fresh start, away from negative influences, ex husband and wifes etc. To persuade her again to return to the `old life` and give up the new life you have made together could be a deal breaker. Best of luck . I would advise a holiday as other posters have. Grass is not allways greener etc.
  12. Go to seek .com. type in nothing except 457 in the job search field, choose all Australia, over 200 jobs will appear -)
  13. Tough one there matey, maybe head home for a while, after the initial hi from familly your mrs will maybe remember why you moved in the first place. My familly have gone from an initial òh my God your leaving us?` To well done mate your timing could not of been better attiude. Think of it as a holiday back to the Uk .
  14. Same here, we are thinking of making the move. Australind a few kms out of town looks good so far -). Older houses with big gardens for my son to play in.
  15. Hi there, plenty of units etc in town for 250-300, We landed with less than 3k pounds, More the merrier but 5-6 k pounds would be plenty. Cars are pricy though. Good luck with the move.
  16. No, not yet, experiance needs to be current to get anyone a visa. shame.
  17. Hi there, all sounds a bit wrong to me, company says get a visa? If they are giving you are a job and offering to sponsor then its them who should be arranging it, with you supplying enough paperwork to gain a visa. Or are they just saying get a visa and we will think about it? Look on seek.com and you will find hundreds of adverts for employers willing to sponsor, just don`t narrow it down to a state etc. Good luck with it. What trade are you in?

  19. Good luck with the move. You might also think about gaining a sponsor.? I am in the Nt and have 3 gold coast mechanics working for me, all left due to very poor wages and job prospects. I would find a job first, than chooose where you are going to live. A lot of people `choose`an area and then after they arrive are posting that where are the jobs? You don`t want to find a house, move, then have your husband fly in/out or need to commute for 4 hours a day because there is no work, will put a lot of pressure on the move and your relationship. Not trying to put you off -). Just because you do a year living in `x` doesn`t mean you wont end up living in `z` a year down the line. There is a good mechanics thread in the work section here. Good luck .
  20. Hi there, we are poms and had our first child here. You will need to arrange a Malaysian passport for your child, notify diac and have the visa grant amended to include the child. You then attend/send of and your childs passport will have a permanent visa label stuck into it. On the childs 18th birthday he/she will be able to apply for Australian citizenship whether or not you are still in the country. Hope this helps.
  21. Skilled or sponsored I reckon you and your mrs should be ok. Have a look around on seek for nurses jobs first , plenty on offer and a lot are offering to sponsor. Remember, just because you start of in say Townsville doesn`t mean you will allways be there. Lots of nurses threads here on the jobs section and advice on registering. If you want to stay in the same line then veola and cleanaway are here as well. Good luck
  22. Once you get to the humidity you`ll be fine-). Lots going on for teens in the area, big fatboy slim type beach concerts etc .You will find they are sport mad so any tem, any sport someone will give your son a go. Good luck with the move.
  23. Its like when the coal mines closed in the north in the uk years ago (gas central heating is lovely compared to shovelling coal) , on your bike to where the work is. I live in a town of zero unemplyment where empolyers just hope someone, anyone will respond to their adverts and jobs go unfilled for months.
  24. well done, just in time for summer -)
