1. Hi Lorna, yes I'm still in the UK. We're moving to the Gold Coast soon. I was thinking if you were on Gold Coast I could help you xx
2. Hi Lorna, where abouts in Aus do you live? I am due to Revalidate for the first time even though I'm emigrating soon. I don't want my UK registration to lapse either so I could do with doing mine soon too. X
3. Thank you Lorna. Ithought i'd replied? dont know what happened there then?? I think i am over thinking it all! I just want everythig to right first time around. Where abouts are you in the process? x
4. Hi everyone, I too am in the process of completing the dreaded AHPRA application! Just a few questions about the CV: 1) Will they require certificate from my access course which I completed before getting in to uni? 2) Will I have to send in copies of GCSE certificates if I have done IELTS academic and achieved a band score of 7's or above? (Can't find any of the certificates!). 3) they want past 5 years employment history - I started my access in sept 2010, then went on to start degree in sept 2011 (transferred uni's after year 1), qualified jan 2015 and have been working since. I make that a few weeks under 5 years, which will probably be 5 years by the time I apply! Does anyone know if I need to provide anything before this? (I was a stay at home mom before this). Thank you.
5. Thank you kyliedonut. Good luck with the rest of your studies xx
6. Just wanted to ask which order is best to start the ball rolling for PR visa - I'm thinking; IELTS, AHPRA, ANMAC? I start my first Nursing post soon, so thought book IELTS, apply to AHPRA because it takes so long, then when I have at least 3 months post reg experience, apply to ANMAC. The reason I ask is because looking through the posts, some do AHPRA first and some do ANMAC first. I just want to know is there any greater benefit of doing either one first? Cheers xx
7. A variety of areas then, that will increase your options. We would prefer queensland's Gold Coast or Sunshine Coast which are popular areas I know so much more competition for jobs, especially grad positions! We would also consider Perth, WA, but out first choice is queensland. We lived in Qld for a short while, we were on a student visa and came home dueto our visa having lots of restrictions and me wanting to do my nursing. We loved the Sunshine Coast, miss it so much. If we go the PR route is it right that I need at least 12 months experience to qualify for it? I thought I knew this! I've read so much I'm forgetting what I've read! Good luck with everything. Keep in touch and let us know how your getting on x
8. Thank you. I bet you handled everything just fine! I was thinking of applying to the graduate nurses programme but will still start my job in jan either way. I know it is difficult to get on to but what's the harm in trying? It's good to know I've got my job though incase nothing materialises. What areas are you thinking of?
9. That's positive jac2011, you must have made a good impression because they sound super keen. I am nearing the end of my nursing degree, just 1 more exam in a couple of weeks then I'm finished. All the best . Lisa.
10.
Not too from us then. We lived in Madeley.
