1.

thats excellent daniel absolutely chuffed for you and the family! were pretty much the same given up on the spl its a bloody joke! well we should have been there by now but the house fell thru end of the yr and it turned into a total nitemare we validated and had to come back. anyhow its now rented out to a lovely young couple we know and theyre happy there for the next few yrs were hoping they may go on to buy it. so were just gathering some cash Daniel and then we,ll be over in january, a yr later than we planned but none the less. were stayin in a small 2 bed flat for now tho i have to say im finding it increasingly harder i just want to get on the plane and go, im a very just lets do it work it out once were there kinda gal but jamies far more sensible lol! im hardly on the site now i feel im never away frm work so just dont have the time, also as the whole systems changed im not sure i can really offer much advice now to newbies. glad you guys are settled and loving life!

 2.

there you are!!!! i had to msg Ali to ask you were getting on? Was having a quick sketch thru the site yesterday as im hardly on anymore and noticed very few old members are on anymore :-( just wondered how your all doin down in SA?? i can say hand on heart pal this will be another horrific season for the hibees the sooner im supporting brisbane roar the better lol!

 3.

Hi Jodi, yeah thats right of you can secure SS then your visa then Lees good to go for applying for jobs. I agree about looking at another state for definate. They all offer something different. I have relatives in perth who love it, when we applied we applied to Tas and WA but WA had allocated all its spaces, luckily TAS accepted our application and we received PR. But we cant get work for love nor money in any line for youth or community or housing work anywhere in TAS so we are going to brisbane where we have friends, should get work easier there. weve spoke with our officer in TAs and theyre fine. But Lee shouldnt have a prob with work in WA :-))

 4.

Hi Jodi, hope we can help somehow! Ok ill tell you all we know and be honest about it, no point giving you misguided hope. Its very hard to get work as a youth worker. Lee is doing the right thing getting his degree for a start. Now we applied for our visa 18mths ago but weve been assessed for 3 years now so it has changed and unfortunately im not upto date with how lee would be assessed, sorry. What i do know is you guys will no doubt have to go down the state sponsored route, when we applied there was only two states interested in youth work, not sure what its like now. You will be beyond lucky to gain work in oz from here, infact its virtually impossible. you will need your visa first. we did have a about 3 interviews tho and a few got back to us about our application but every time it came down to not bein in the country. dependent on where you guys plan to go will depend on which employers id advise you to contact, any other questions fire away kelly x

 5.
hi watford, im assuming your from watford? my home town :-))

 6.
the actual visa is £1600 then meds are £290 per adult £90 per child roughly police checks £30 each then vetassess on top which im not sure how much that is its not a cheap process im afraid!

 14.
hi guys how are the 4 of you? were all fine, emailed carol this morning as we hyave made a final decision to head to Adelaide. As jamies on their list, hes on regional QLD but with the lack of jobs on the sunshine coast we think it would be too risky to head there and dont want to be further up the coast, so Adelaide it is! were putting in our app in July!
