sha76
Hi All Does anyone have any advice on a good Health insurance provider, and if I am from the UK the best level of cover I would need? Any feedback on what making a claim is like and level of service Thanks
Guest The Pom Queen
I would recommend taking a look at iselect it helps you to compare.
Ruby Tuesday
I'd advise you to avoid the BUPA GROUP and it's affiliates, MBF, HBA, and Mutual Community. These 4 companies amalgamated almost a year ago, and practitioners are still waiting for their new insurance provider numbers to be issued. This has become a huge problem for BUPA GROUP patients trying to process claims through HICAPS.
Quinkla
IMO, the insurance is an expensive con. It doesn't actually reimburse you for all your costs so you still end up paying for healthcare despite being insured.

Fashionably Late
We used iselect.com to help us make our decision and we ended up with HCF and have been very pleased with them.

Skani
I'd endorse the recommendation to use the iselect website to compare. There are many variables including in which state you will be resident, whether it is for a single person, couple or with children, what your health requirements are - eg. optometry, special dental work, maternity cover in the future, whether you are prepared to trade off a high excess fee for lower premium etc.etc. Should just add: with my fund (AHM) I make claims online and the refund is automatically deposited into my bank account. Have never had any problems with service.
bensdad
We had quotes from hbf and medibank just under $200 per month for me and the misses. Not the top Level but the next tier down. Loving Fremantle!
