Yes - bring a copy of your evidence of NCD with you in case your new insurer asks for it. I was told you have 12 months to use it - that is, you need to take out comprehensive insurance on a car within 12 months of your last insurance otherwise your rating drops.

When I rang around for quotes earlier this year in NSW not one of the people I spoke to asked about my no claims from the UK. They did ask about points on my licence and if I'd been the cause of any accidents in the past 3 or 5 years. I'd bring the paperwork anyway just in case.

Yes - some don't ask for it, some do. For me Toyota didn't ask, but Budget did.

Cheers.

Just to be the odd one out, nope it doesnt count I used iSelect (Like gocompare) they search providers for you and they told me they are not taken into account, however, they do take how long you have had your license into account so I had a 60% Discount for having a license for 10 Years.

This is for Queensland btw unsure about other states
