NATMAN Posted June 4, 2011 Share Posted June 4, 2011 I entered sunny OZ in Jan on a prospective marriage visa which was issued and we got married in January 2011. This visa runs out in early Aug 2011 and we are about to send in our On Shore Spouse Visa application. Can anyone explain what happens in the mean time in relation to the visa? RockDr Posted June 6, 2011 Share Posted June 6, 2011 When you apply for the 820/801 visa, they will issue you with a Bridging Visa A. This BVA will kick in in early august when the PMV runs out. The BVA allows you to stay in Australia while the partner visa is processed. It should have the same work rights as the PMV. If you want to leave and re-enter australia while on a BVA, you have to apply for a Bridging Visa B. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
