163ALLOUT
Tom Daly's (diving champion) father has died aged 40 from brain cancer. Watched a programme in the UK last year about Tom and his Dad Rob and it was truely inspirational what that man did for his son. If you get chance to ever see the programme please do so. Desperataly sad news.

In a strange way it may drive the young man on to win gold at the Olympics, I know it will NEVER make up for the loss, but what a memorial to his dad if he could do this, and if his dad is looking down on him, what an immense sense of pride he will feel, (Gold medal or not) Cheers Tony. SHANO7
The Daleys live around the corner from us. Never met them but would see Tom and his dad on the school run regularly. Everyone knew how much he wanted to see Tom at 2012 in london. Im sure he will be on the board with Tom when he dives from now on My families thoughts are with them Shane

ali
How sad, Tom seems like a really nice young man and I know from watching programmes he had a wonderfully close relationship with his day.
