1.

No it's only because sometimes you kind of sign off in the third person, now I know what you are doing, I think it's really funny.

  2. In the Gold Coast, I honestly don't think you could get a car parking space for $80 a month:frown: When I go back to UK I am going to live more simply. When I have had all my babies I am going to get a little boat (second hand) and take them out in it. When I have a licence of course. I am going to get a job that gives me more of the free time and less of the stress. I am really looking forward to being just happy with what I've got. Sounds daft, but I know I will be cos I'll appreciate it so much more. I know it's off topic but had to get it out. x
  3. Does anyone know if the ICS route is accepted as a degree in UK at UK Universities?
  4. I am a diploma trained UK nurse and have been working in Oz for years. They are fine with it. Only thing is (which is just plain silly) I am an RMN with a Dip in Mental Health Nursing and in Oz I am recognised as a Registered Nurse with out any mental health training. Not that it has made any difference to anything. But still.....
  5. Jeez what's with the gold and silver? It's not like they'll get treated any different on the plane.
  6. What sort of a place did you rent for $80 a month? Holy Moly, even a week!! How long ago were you here? OMG if I'd been living where you were living I'd have been loaded! .
  7. So now I have been looking into this... ICS seems SO much cheaper and shorter route than through an actual university. Is it still fully valid as a Bachelor's in Nursing when completed. So if I completed it then went to a UK University to study further I could officially be a post graduate? Seems too good o be true after all the money I spent in Oz.
  8. I think everyone should stop watching WDU.
  9. OMG that is horrific!!! Big L doesn't play with sticks......phew....
  10. Is it WDU who says it's twice as much?
  11. Who said it was twice as much? Why do I keep reading "but it's not twice as much though". S'ok web weasel, it did look that way and I am pretty fiery and sensitive these days but misunderstanding corrected. Hope we good:biggrin:
  12. Rent or mortgage of course too 4 bed house in QLD $420/week so $1680/month sorry just realised you weren't bothered about that
  13. Rates Electric $300 Gas $70 Water House Phone $100 Internet $70 Sky/Foxtel $70 (depends on package) Car Rego $100 (2cars) Car Insurance Petrol Mobile Phones $50 (2phones) Food & Groceries $800 minimum 2 adults and a baby and a dog Insurance House/Contents Leisure Time $0 - (we have no life) Can't remember the other things. And it WAS GOOD SOLID FACTS. Cost of living is more but I earn twice as much - how is that not a fact?!
  14. I can't go as far as to detail everything but I can tell you that the cost of living is significantly higher but in Oz I am earning twice what I would in UK. So I think, in my experience anyway, it works itself out.

YAY!!!!!!!!!! Well done and congratulations, big celebrations for you.:jiggy:
  16.

I have inherited the cellulite and some ghastly stretch marks

  17.

I think we were separated at birth.....

  18.

Just Curious. Are you Geoff or is Geoff your partner? I thought you were a girl but now I think you are Geoff?

  19. Maybe they fancy you? That's what I like to think.
  20. I think if you didn't feel some level of fear it would be odd. Fear is good (within reason) reminds us that we are only human. It'll be great, embrace the fear!!!

    I'm a Nanna!

    congratulations!!!!! very exciting.
  22. OMG I started this process in Oz and was EXTREMELY expensive. I am going to look back into it again when I got home. Essentially I don't think the degree will have any impact on your ability to register or employability here (in Oz) as I don't think it does in UK, although people say it does, I have never seen it. Only reason I am doing it (AGAIN) is because I may want an out from nursing and this is the best way how, so I can then be a post graduate.
