Medicals?

Hello hello

How will we know whether we need a medical or come to that who will need a medical? Having studied the DIAC guidelines my interpretation is that we won't BUT I keep seeing posts about children having medicals and am now wondering about my two littlies?

My husband is the main applicant for a 457 in Perth, with myself our 20 year old twins, 6 year and 3 year old. Is it worth booking with our nearest panel doctor in case?

Hi, I needed a medical for my 457 back in 2007 and I'm not in a medical job - I work in an office.

Best thing to do is wait to see if DIAC ask you to get it done.

peach is quite right,I believe the rules changed in recent times, we are on a 457, Hubby and daughter did not require a medical, I didn't either actually but as I declared a pre existing medical condition on the visa application my migration agent strongly urged me to have one in the event that DIAC subsequently requested one. in the end I had a medical at Manchester, all went very smoothly and the 457 was granted 3 days after the visa application was submitted!
