jimcz
I can read a lot of comments about CO being assigned. How will I know that it happened? I've applied for SS in WA and yesterdary I got an email that my application is currently being assessed. Does it mean that I have got an CO? Who should actually assigned a CO when I applied for 176? Is it the state or DIAC?
ali
I don't know what the system is now, but we got an email saying you have bee allocated a case officer and requesting we submit our medicals/PC's this was on a 136 (which later became 175)
dragonz
It means you have been assigned a Case Officer(CO) implying that after that long wait in the queue our application has finally got some spotlight.
Houciaus2010
Being assigned a Case Officer(CO) means that your application LODGED WITH DIAC AND NOT WITH WA will see the light, in other words You can't have a CO without lodging an application with DIAC:wink: Your happiest day is still to come

Is it the state or DIAC? When people talk of having a CO assigned they are talking about their visa application, not their state sponsorship application. So no you do not have a CO as your visa application is not even with DIAC yet. When you have lodged the visa application, you won't be notified that you have a CO. You will know you have one if they need something and decide to contact you.
