Validating visa timescale

Hia I was just wondering if there was a set timescale from the visa being granted to the validation by date, I guess this may be different for each state .... we are looking at Perth, if anyone can let me know how long it was for them I'd be grateful.

Many thanks

Generally for the skilled visa you have one year from the date of your medicals or police checks (whichever had the earliest date). For our visa we had our medicals done (requested) on 18th May and our visa was granted in the July of the same year, we had to validate by the 18th May the following year. Your validation date isn't 12 months from the time of it being granted. Front loading meds and police checks can cause a problem if there is a delay in your visa grant and it may leave you with a very short window in which to validate. All states are the same, but visa types may be different .

Hi The visa validation time is 12 months from either PC or medicals were done. So if you did meds or PC in December but were not given visa until March entry date would be the December 9 months after visa grant. As far as I know this is the same for all states.
