Buuuuuummmmmmppppppp

Hi, what's the gut feeling re construction trades on W.A's S.M.P everyone? All we've heard lately is that EVERY building trade is in critical demand there but with all the disappointments experienced since beginning this process I'm finding it hard to be optmistic now. I note that VIC does not have solid nor fibrous plasterers on it's smp, God forbid WA follows suit.

Best wishes for everyone on this journey.

Richard

Whats your take on my earlier post please?

Hi,

I personally feel from what I've read, and it's only an opinion, that construction trades are needed in WA and hopefully these will be included in their SMP. I know they've been quiet re:SMP and I have to admit I haven't really kept up to date with WA. However SA, who like WA, have traditionally needed construction trades have included Plasterer on their interim list and I can only hope and take this as a good sign with view to thier SMP (again only guessing tho!!). With regards to Vic I wouldn't be too worried by that, as I think they have always had a tight list and plasterers (unless I'm mistaken) were not on it previously.

It's really hard waiting I know, but at the moment that's all we can do!!

I hope we get what we're wishing for and as it stands I am trying to feel hopeful for Plasterers.

Lots of luck and I wish you all the best.

Thanks Connie,

We submitted our our irish police checks 2 nights ago and an Australian police check for me(Alan) as i was there for over a year with a bunch of other stuff requested by our case officer (team 2 ) they got back with in 15 minutes with acknowledgement of files recieved but was surprised when they asked for an Australian police check for tracey for the one year work/holiday she spent out there and a police cert. for N.Z for the same one year work/holiday visa.

I was'nt aware that they included that type of visa in the Q "Have you lived in another country other than your own for more than a year"

Just something for the other users to think about if they want to get a head start on D.I.A.C and have them at the ready as now i have to wait for them to come back which might take a bit of time.

Cheers

Yes, thanks for the two threads (Cat 2 and Cat 3), great help to see how and how fast things are moving forward!

And for the Cat 3 applicants it will also be of interest to see how the Cat 2 guys are doing.

One question though:

Date CO assigned: 25/11/2010

This is in the future, right, or am I getting something wrong here? :wideeyed:
