Hey hey

We're thinking of moving out in a couple of months & have got some quotes from companies who specialise in pet emigration. Has anybody got any experience of which are good firms to use. We have a lovely little border terrier who I want to be traumatised as little as possible!

Thanks for any advise/ stories

Hi and welcome to PomsinOz! Airpets and Golden arrow amongst others are meant to be very good pet shipping companies, though I have no personal experience of either...

Lots of Luck!!!

Jets4pets gave us the cheapest quote and seemed professional. But we havent used them yet. Our doggy has just had pups so she can come with us! Its a bugger when she has to earn her own air fare!! A lot of the companies give you online quotes. You will be thankful its a border terrier and not a labrador!! The cost is done of volume.

If you are going to any of the expos coming up, a lot of the pet companies are there and they have example crates there too.

Welcome to PIO

We used a company called pets on the move for our cat and they were great. They picked our cat up from home and also took her to the airport.

If you're thinking of coming to Perth - you need to book early. The quarentine station at Byford isn't a large one and as a result of being the only one in WA gets full. I know when we first enquired, the first available date was some 4 months away.

Check out the threads about dogs in particular, there's a something about blood tests

Hi, welcome to PIO.

We're taking our two Border Terriers over - have had a quote of Airpets who seem very thorough and loads of people on here recommend them. Golden Arrow also come highly recommended too.

Where are you headed?

Thanks for replying. Been out of circulation for a while. Did your Borders make it? If o who did you use & what were they like. We're off to Sydney soon.

I used Par Air, they gave me the cheapest quote, paid about 70 GBP for pick up from our place in Cambridge. They were supportive and knowledgeable esp. their staff Rachel.

Good luck

Hi everyone,

Does anyone know of a pet emigration service that will collect my cat from Germany. All of the companies i've found are in the uk so i'm a bit worried as to whether i'll need to take him back to the uk first. Any idea's ?
