hoorayhenry
Hi everyone Just a quickie - I arrived in QLD (thinking I was going to be living there!) and bought a car there. I am now living in Victoria so do I need to change the car rego to Victoria? Is it compulsory? If so, any ideas of cost? Thanks everyone! Guest Jaynie
You can use your QLD rego in Vic for a short time, but you will have to change it over aswell as your license, have you been in contact with VIC roads yet, they will give you the accurate information you need. Quoll
I think you have either 3 months or 30 days to register your car with your new residential address - there is some problem with the third party coverage apparently if you are not living in the state which issued the third party (vague memories of a friend's son being badly caught out by that!). It's a real nuisance but no alternative.
