ScottyM
Hi all, We've just had a request from Immi to pay the 2nd payment of our 870 visa applications and provide proof of health insurance. Does anyone know if this means the visa is likely to be granted after payment and has anyone had experience of arranging health insurance, what type is required etc. Thanks in advance Scott

A Google search for "australia 870 visa health insurance" or something similar will get you a list of providers who offer specifically tailored packages. ScottyM
HI Paul, thanks for the quick reply. I've been looking online for insurance which seems to be a bit of a minefield...and a con...pay for a year before it becomes active! It’s true that you can’t claim for anything that’s a pre existing condition but that’s understandable.

wrussell
The big print giveth and the small print taketh away. If the insurance is ever used, the holder is likely to face a 'Gap' payment that looks like a Pentagon phone number. Do your homework and make sure if you are 90 years old you are not paying for pregnancy cover, or similar useless inclusions at any age.
