Southlander
To the moderators. When browsing forums there seems to be a lot of posts going to incorrect forums (not a huge deal by any means), but is it not time to revamp the forum titles? You have 491 posting in "skilled visas" and temporary visas and so on. Citizenship queries should definitely have their own subforum, and potentially skills assessments. Ielts/pte maybe there own forum as is points related. Also pinned topics tend to take up most of your mobile screen page and truthfully most are redundant and people are aware of them. It's a great site but needs updating. Also the site is called in poms in oz, can you include (mandatory in your sig) where you are from and we may be able to assist their queries more efficiently? Also if someone is onshore or offshore, these are factors when looking to assist someone. Rushed example below! Skilled Permanent 189/190 Skilled Provisional/Temp 482/489*/491 Citizenship WHV/Student Business Skills/Sponsored Skills Assessments Appeals/Cancelled visa/Sec48Bar Other topics (Ielts/PTE/NAATI) Thoughts? Many thanks Edited August 30, 2020 by Southlander
ali
I've alerted the owners to your suggestions. Whilst called Poms in Oz, we have for many years welcomed all nationalities. Regarding signatures - we're not prescriptive about what people write, but they should (as per the forum rules) be only 2 lines long - unless you're an agent when it can be 3 as they're required to add their registration number. Thanks for taking the time, in giving such detailed feedback.
Southlander
Hi Ali, that's great thanks for looking into this. Yes, good to be inclusive but sometimes non-uk passports have different checks before their visas are considered. (Tier 1/2/3 country checks) Just an observation. May even save some time for the agents who post. Look forward to an update shortly!

In the meantime - if you see something that would be better suited to another part of the forum - just report it and the moderators will have a look and move it if they deem it necessary. The moderating team aren't responsible for any changes - that will be up to the owners (admin).
Guest The Pom Queen
Hi @Southlander thank you for your feedback. I have passed it on to the IT team for consideration/action. I agree your ideas would make it a lot easier. In regards to signatures it can be hard for those viewing on a mobile, it’s similar to the pinned topics, people need to scroll through all the signatures, there is an option to not display them but some people may not understand how to do this. starlight7
Wish they would stop using 'poms'- it is outdated. Brits in Oz might be better. I find 'poms' quite embarrassing
