EmilysDad 4 Posted April 3, 2020 Hi, I am in Queensland (Townsville) and trying to get home to the UK. Singapore Airline (who I flew out with) have announced a “rescue” flight leaving from Sydney. I’m trying to confirm whether I can fly from QLD and transit through Sydney airport, or will I have to quarantine for 14 days??! Obvs if that’s the case I’ll pass on the SIA flight and travel via Brisbane. Thanks
calNgary 9,134 Posted April 3, 2020 I would try ringing the air line and explain the circumstances and if they say you can ask for the confirmation in writing before you book the flight. Is there no flights leaving from Brisbane at all ? as without a doubt that would be the easiest option. Cal x If you don't go after what you want, you'll never have it. If you don't ask, the answer is always no. If you don't step forward, you're always in the same place... If you get a chance, take it, If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said it would be easy they just said it would be worth it...
Marisawright 10,066 Posted April 3, 2020 I would say hang out for a Brisbane flight because everything is so chaotic at the moment. You might get a confirmation now but when you get to Sydney you might find some official won’t agree and you’ll be stuck Scot by birth, emigrated 1985 | Aussie husband granted UK spouse visa, moved to UK May 2015 | Returned to Oz June 2016
