Settlement funds help

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I got my pre-invite today from QLD (very excited). It states under the settlement funds:

"Mandatory Cash Component - $5000"

"Other Funds Component - $10,000"

"Total Funds Required - $15,000"

My partner and I are onshore candidates - I already work in my occupation.

My Australian current account has $3000

My partner's has $1000

We have a joined account overseas which has $15000 in there

My questions are:

1. Can we show all 3 or is it better to clump them all into one account?

2. As our "other" components are cash is this ok? We own a house outright in Thailand but not selling it and therefore won't be money we will use in QLD.

3. Does it matter all accounts are not purely in my name (partner is on the visa with me)

Any advice is greatly appreciated

hi,

I have submitted EOI (offshore)for QLD subclass 491 for the occupation Solicitor on 22nd December, 2019. I am yet to receive any feedback from them. I have only 70 points with spouse competent English. Can you please advise whether there is any possibility for invitation with this poor points?

Regards.

Hi mate, did they ask you to provide actual proof of funds such as bank statement? And if so, at what stage?

Thanks
