  1. hi, congrats on the visa grant. how long after your co contact (for meds to be done) did you receive your grant? was it shortly after?
  2. Hi, YES that would be great!!! Would like to chat with people in the same boat! If you could get them to send me a message I think this would help!
  3. Hi all, is there any hope for us at this moment in time. Feeling like life is on hold and starting to doubt the whole process!!! after submitting 190 in feb 2020, still nothing at all. no updates off visa migration agent, sold one house 2020. Bought another 2021 and unsure where we stand? Trying to be think positive but I’m struggling with that what’s your stories? Any visa grants? Co contacts? Updates from agents? Or are we all just sat here knowing nothing?
  4. Yes, i believe so. She has been diagnosed with a "viral induced wheeze" she seems to be getting better with age. It all sounds worse than it is as she only has 1/2 episodes a year and even then we just use her blue pump and it clears. she is a normal healthy young girl. so frustrating that this could potential mess our visa and our chances of a life in OZ! Thanks for your response Martyn
  5. Hi, thanks for the advice! what action do you suggest i take and how do i go about it?. I am using an agent and they haven't guided me down this route? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated Martyn
  6. Hi Wes, Our visa Application has already been submitted! I'm guessing that there is no more that i can do but wait for an outcome? Thanks
  7. Thank you Merisa, Yes, her pediatrician has verbally told us that= she is likely to grow out of it as she usually gets "chesty" in the winter time. Thankfully she has not had an episode at all this winter! so fingers crossed this wont cause an issue! By the time we are aloud to travel to oz it will probably have gone given the travel restrictions at present times! Thanks for the advice and stay Safe!
  8. Hi Paul, we are going for the 190 visa to SA? Is this the type of visa that you can appeal? thanks Martyn
  9. It’s either a or b! They have said that she will grow out of it anyway so hopefully anyone looking at it will have some Sense and pass it
  10. Hi mate, myself, wife and eldest have been graded as an a but my daughter is graded a b. my agent said that hers is under processing. Its mad that it could all fall flat for us and medicals can only be done at the last stage!! nightmare!!
  11. HI all, Can anyone put my mind to rest! We have taken our medicals and my youngest daughter has a couple of issues. 1, She has a viral induced wheeze. 2, Has a slight lazy eye and requires patching. she is on a brown inhaler (preventative) and blue as and when required. we take her for check ups 6-8 months for her chest and every 8 weeks to check her eyes. These conditions and common childhood issues and both pediatrician and orthopedics have said that it is very likely she will grow out of these conditions. we have submitted our reports from her orthopedic and pediatrics and our agent said that Bupa may asses it or it will go on until the visa is selected for processing. Has anyone had similar situations?, as i feel that we have invested so much into this whole preccesss and it could be refused on these little issues. Why are the medicals the last stage and why cant you undertake them before the costs start mounting!! so frustrating!!!! Thanks in advance.
  12. Hi charlotte, yes I presume that my agent would cover herself by attaching all evidence required to back up her issue. We had 70 points plus's the 5 for partner points. These where added when the changes came into force in November. I wish I had not updated the Eoi to award these points as it's been nothing but stress and worry! It took 7 weeks for my invite. Will keep you up to speed! What stage are you at? Martyn
  13. Thanks for the reply, yes we have received and invitation to apply. What to provide To prove you have competent English, provide evidence: that you are a citizen of and hold a valid passport issued by the United Kingdom, the United States of America, Canada, New Zealand or the Republic of Ireland, with your application This is what the DHA state for competent English so we are eligible to claim the 5 points. This issue is logging them onto the 190 application form. We can only assume that a passport would suffice for evidence. However, who then is responsible and where do I stand if the visa is refused on the issue I'm facing?. My agent won't lodge until this issue is resolved.
  14. Thanks for the response, unfortunately it seems that nothing can be done. i will just wait and see what happens, my agent has said that we will submit application regardless, closer to the deadline. i can hypothesis with her but its extreamly frustrating for us. we are under the assumption that people are lodging the application with a statement attached explaining where the 5 extra points are from as there is no where on the form to address these points. my agent just wants to be certain. thanks again.
  15. Hi all, i am giving this one last shot, as i am giving up hope in trying to find the answer. Firstly, I am looking to find out if anyone is facing the same issue and what has been done to rectify it. In a nutshell, i have received an invite to apply for the 190 as a plumber. My deadline to apply is 11th feb. due to the changes on November 16th i was able to claim 5 additional points on the eoi as my wife holds a UK passport. however, when filling out the 190 application form there is no where to log these points into the system other than attaching a copy of her passport. if you go onto the DHA website and look at the points table it states that these points are claimed under the PARTNER SKILLS section. on the application form is gives you the option to select (under partner skills) "yes" but then it doesn't give you the option to claim the 5??? Your spouse or de facto partner must also be an applicant for this visa and has competent English For you to be eligible for the award of these points your partner must be an applicant for the same visa subclass and must not be an Australian permanent resident or an Australian citizen. All im looking for is some direction on where to go with this. i am already using an agent and they are also trying to get clarification on this matter but time is running out. i have spoken to SA immigration - could not help as the DHA deal with the visas. i have spoken to the DHA several times and they cannot help with filling out the visa. - they said to fill out an immi technical support form but this has been done weeks ago and no response. its almost like they have applied the changes and have not updated the application form! im guessing that this could also be an issue for the other visas also? PLEASE SOMEONE HELP!!!! THANK YOU
  16. Unfortunately no luck, thanks anyway Hope you get the questions you wanted answered
  17. Congratulations, who did you speak to regarding spouse points? Phoned sa immigration and no luck? Thanks
  18. I would like to clarify that yes, my agent is dealing with it and has told me to wait before instructing her to lodge the application. The problem is, I’m sat here a month later with all sorts of thoughts running through my head and my EOI runs out in feb, I want to clarify the answer and provide her with it. She is probably doing all she can but I’m getting desperate. Spoke to the dha last night and they didn’t know either. Phoned immigration SA and no luck. As previously stated it’s between 1-4pm aus time. Looks like I will be setting an alarm tonight. Thanks for the response everyone.
  19. Can’t get through to them. What number did you ring? Thanks
  20. I’m not sure why it’s saying that? I didn’t name it that, I named it forums? Weird
  21. Do you have the number to ring? Would you mind sending me your number for a chat? Thanks
  22. Basically, I’ve received an invite to apply for SA 190 as a plumber and got until the 11th feb to lodge an application. I’m using an agent who is very thorough and has hit a brick wall lodging as when she is inputting the info regarding the spouse points for UK passport ( after November changes) it isn’t giving her an option under the skilled section (claiming points for spouse) I have very little time and just trying to find out if people are hitting the same issue and how they have got around it. No one seems to want to comment
  23. Hi, does anyone know any other government sites to chat to people, not many like to chat about my situation on here [emoji33].
