OZdownunder
Hi, The Travel facility on my GSM 190 ( SA State Sponsored) PR recently expired, I have manged to live in Australia for only 8 months in the last 5 years and that too on 2 different occasions. I do not have any employment ties, relatives and friends in OZ and hence unable to show any substantial ties with the country. I am still very much keen on moving to Australia and settling down there. How do I apply to an RRV and ensure that it gets approved ? Looking forward to some responses. Marisawright
You can’t do anything to ensure it, all you can do is apply and pray. The best you can hope for is a one year RRV and it’s quite possible you’ll get only three months. And if you don’t move to Australia and settle within the validity of the RRV, you probably won’t get another chance
paulhand
You apply using the online application form on the Department’s immi website. You will need to show substantial ties to Australia, which are of benefit to Australia. If you can’t do that you might have a chance if you can demonstrate compassionate and compelling reasons for having left Australia. You need to evidence all claims. shaundennis
You could also secure employment and have a job offer in hand, if possible.
