I checked the South Australian migration site and they are allowing only 489 visas to overseas applicants and 75 is the minimum required points. Raul Senise Posted September 25, 2018 Share Posted September 25, 2018 Each state has their own requirements which change regularly depending on their needs, the political environment and the direction the wind is blowing. Most states are moving more towards the 489 visa due to the large amount of people not honouring their commitment to the State on 190 visas. Many states will only invite straight to a 190 in limited cases, such as when an applicant as already been living and working in the state and therefore already evidenced their commitment to living there.
