All I know is that my rent will be between 300 and 450 a week. I'll be living in my own, can anyone give me a starter for ten? Keep in mind that better deals for fruit, veg and meat can often be found a grocers and butchers. In terms of other costs, if you will be paying electric, gas etc it will depend on you and how much you use. TBH 300-450 a week sounds a lot for a rental (and checking Geelong area prices also) for a person living on their own. Unless you are planning to rent a 3 bed house or something. Have you checked realestate.com.au to see what sort of prices for units/apartments etc and houses? Will you be needing a car? I find fuel much cheaper here but there is still the rego and insurance to pay. Plus cars tend to be a bit pricer to buy and second hand cars its always worth getting the RAA man out to check it over to ensure its roadworthy.
