I think allocating and processing mean very different things in the wonderful world of visa applications.

Got my PR today.. Though I belong to 187-RSMS.. But I'm a silent follower of this thread too.. Visa application lodge: 27th July with nomination approved already.. No Contact from the DIBP.. God Bless to you all who are still waiting.. You'll have yours soon too..

It seems quite strange getting different automated emails from the same department by different applicants. As I wanna mention that one of my colleagues had got the automated email saying- we r currently allocating the case officer for the August applications couple of days ago'. Even if you send the blank email to any pse.com.au you will get a response straightaway.Didn't understand at all.

Just though I'd share this extract from an non-automated response I got from an email enquiring about my application.

 

 

"..........We are currently processing Late June / early July lodged applications. Once your application has been allocated you will be contacted accordingly......."

Thanks Guys. VEVO says granted. Application pages not able to generate Grant letter. MA only Works Mon/Tue/Wed. looks like will need to wait for Grant Letter until monday.

 

In all it was 105 day/ 15 week this forum was great help worked like lifeline.

 

Thanks again for keeping tempo high during wait time.

Am I going mad?? I applied for the Direct Entry 186 visa on 27/9/2013, yes thats last year, I finally got nomination approval 28/5/2014, then submitted the visa application finally on 28/8/2014 (after waiting 12 weeks to get my qualification recognised) with all medicals and required information. I really should have a visa at this stage?!! 6-8 months is the average wait time?!:wacko:

If I've understood what you've written, you didn't actually apply for the DE 186 until 28/8/2014. Applying for nomination isn't the same as lodging a visa application and the visa application lodgement date is when the processing time is counted from. If you only applied for skills assessment after the nomination was approved and then it took 12 weeks, you couldn't have applied any earlier than some time in August as skills assessment is a mandatory pre-requisite.

What"a your timeline

 

Timeline is that I submitted nomination and visa application with all documents on 7 July 2014 via MA. We submitted police checks a day later in the post (MA did this) and I had HAP ID (medical) prior to submitting all docs so that I didn't unnecessarily slow down the process.

 

I heard nothing at all for weeks. My colleague applied two weeks before me and was granted hers two months before me so it is definitely luck of the draw in how it ends up on who's desk I think.

 

On 3 Nov case officer was assigned and asked for more docs from employer, these were submitted on 5 Nov via MA.

 

I then chased immi by email on 10 Nov as I was leaving country on business trip on 13 Nov. So I sent an email asking if there was anything else I needed to submit prior to departure, heard nothing back, but I wonder if that triggered them looking at case again and granting it. Nomination and Visa were approved in one go in an email to my MA on 13 Nov (while I was on a flight overseas)

I applied my ens nomination and application via an agent on 4th August 2014.

It's also including medical checks.

 

Waiting so far no news and didn't ask the status with immigration.

@peaksense .my Ma send an email about my processsing on last wednesday , so far he only get autresponse from team 10 .nsw.pse saying we are curently doing august application. On 16th october he got an update saying my case has been alocated to team 10 paramata but recently their is a drastic change in processing so might be becoz of that we are late.eagerly waiting for their response on monday.i will keep updating.....

Well as its getting to the business end of my application it is time to drop my details into the mix.

 

Applied through MA on a Decision Ready Basis for an all in submission on August 6th for a 186, low risk country. Was told at the time 3-4mths was the likely timescale, so seems to be working out.

 

Obviously watching with interest now...

Hi Taran, Under online services on immigration website please check work or visa entitlement and go for "check your own visa details". I would say 1st check your immiacount go into application and if it says granted & you can't view grant letter then check VEVO.
