Timeline is that I submitted nomination and visa application with all documents on 7 July 2014 via MA. We submitted police checks a day later in the post (MA did this) and I had HAP ID (medical) prior to submitting all docs so that I didn't unnecessarily slow down the process. I heard nothing at all for weeks. My colleague applied two weeks before me and was granted hers two months before me so it is definitely luck of the draw in how it ends up on who's desk I think. On 3 Nov case officer was assigned and asked for more docs from employer, these were submitted on 5 Nov via MA. I then chased immi by email on 10 Nov as I was leaving country on business trip on 13 Nov. So I sent an email asking if there was anything else I needed to submit prior to departure, heard nothing back, but I wonder if that triggered them looking at case again and granting it. Nomination and Visa were approved in one go in an email to my MA on 13 Nov (while I was on a flight overseas) I hope that timeline helps!

My visa was finally granted today, 13 Nov. I was on a flight overseas and when I landed my MA messaged me to say that nomination and visa were both granted in the same day and I now have my 186 PR. Very happy.

I head overseas on business in a few days, still waiting on 186 visa grant. Immigration has said that it can be granted on or offshore. Anyone know of any 186 visa being granted while overseas?

Hi Umar, i had an email a couple of weeks ago from general decision support address, I got an email this morning and it came from an individual on team 4 at VIC. Looking at the forum, VIC seems a little behind...so if I've been allocated to them then I may be a few weeks yet. But good luck with yours, hopefully you hear something soon!

Things have really slowed down at immi dept Umar. My colleague handed her nomination and application in 20 June for 186 ENS TRT visa. Hers was approved over 4 weeks ago now. I haven't even been allocated a case officer yet, nor had my nomination approved (7 July).

Have you chased them? I applied with nomination and visa on 7 July, all docs front-loaded, through MA, but my case hasn't even been allocated a case officer yet. I emailed a few days ago re: overseas travel while 186 is lodging and they said they haven't allocated my case to a team. Despite the auto email saying that they are allocating July applications. :arghh:

CONGRATS.....finally a July application has been approved. Hopefully that means I'm soon (nomination and visa submitted on 7 July via MA - NSW office) Did you get in touch with immi at all during the process, other than to submit medical? And what office processed your visa?

I'm hoping there is some movement next week, the surge of late June applications has really delayed the visa processing times. Migration agent said they are processing end of June apps, but allocating early July apps, so these might start getting approved next week. Fingers crossed for all of us.

Maybe we'll get some movements on July applications soon. Got this from immi today: Please note that we are currently allocating ENS and RSMS applications that were lodged at the beginning of July 2014

Any July applicants received visa grant yet? My timeline: 7 July - 186 ENS TRT nomination and application lodged with all documents, medical and police check via MA with NSW office
