kimberley88
Hi everybody, I am just wondering if anybody out there is a primary school teacher? I am currently waiting for my visa but will hopefully be making the move in August. I am just trying to look at finances and I am wondering if anybody could help me with teachers wages. I have been qualified 5 years. How much am I likely to bring home a week/ month? Kim
Parley
I think it is about $55000 per year so whatever that works out to be.
Quoll
Depends on the state and, more importantly, whether you can actually get a job. No one can tell you what you will bring in if you are CRT because you could be employed one day and then not for 6 weeks. Google the state you want to teach in and there will be a list of salaries there for you somewhere.
Guest
Agree with Quoll. It will vary. What state and what area are you heading to?
benj1980
In WA first year teachers bring home about $3400 per month after deductions. As your five years qualified you should be pushed up the payscale.
