hjd
Can anyone advise if it's worth shipping electrical items from the UK to Aus? I've got some really nice, expensive kitchen items (blenders, crock pot, kitchen aid etc) and want to know if it's worth shipping them or if it's not worth it because they won't work properly?! And my BF's blummin PS4 too!!
amibovered
They will work fine, different plugs though.
Marisawright
You just need to get an electrician to change the plugs, they will work fine.

Bound4Tassie
Can't you just use a travel plug adaptor?
Marisawright
Can't you just use a travel plug adaptor? Yes you can, but if you're moving permanently it's easier to get the plug changed.
hjd
I was asking more because some of my electricals eg curlers and straighteners don't work when I take them abroad and I use a travel plug. I guess it's something to do with the ampage/wattage...what ever the terminology is!!
milo 52
If you have digital photo frame's you are taking they won't work because the transformer is in the plug, so just take the SD card.
kevsan
or bring a 4 way UK extension lead(s) and change the plugs on that (those)
bqjt
Or, buy these converters for a decent price, they take a little while to arrive (4 weeks) but are good quality and pack of 5.
aktcarpentry
Plugs here don't have fuses that I know of so we took a multi socket board for some items. You can always get an ozzie multi board with a safety cut out too. Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk
