sarahfromanglesey
Hi all, Will be travelling to gold coast on 457visa (nursing). My son is 19 and will be finishing his electrical engineering course here in June. Would he be able to go to uni there on this visa without the fees international students would usually have to pay? Marisawright
I'm pretty sure he would be treated as an international student because you're not a permanent resident.
Suzukiscottie
He absolutely would be an international fee-paying student. Payable in advance each semester. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

LKC
No, he would have to pay international fees unfortunately. I looked into going to uni whilst we were on a 457 and would have had to pay international fees. Once we were on PR I could get a domestic place with domestic fees. However I waited until we were citizens and now get a Commonwealth supported place with a HECS-HELP loan to pay the student contribution if necessary.
