Timeline: 18 December 2015 Nomination lodged 15 January 2016 Visa application lodged 24 February 2016 Nomination approved 11 April 2016 457 Visa granted!!! Good thing when I called the DIBP hotline, the officer I was talking to was very helpful and even gave me his name and reference number to send along with the email. Application on and nomination lodged on same day day - 1st April 2016. Obviously still waiting to hear. Hopefully won't take too long! Good luck to all those still waiting. March 30 - Nomination approved April 1 - Application lodged Status as of today is "application has been received by the department and will be assessed." Employer Nomination approved 1st February 2016 (with me onshore) Visa application submitted 16th February 2016 (back in UK) More info requested 17th February 2016 More info provided 17th February 2016 Case officer allocated 17th February 2016 (Status change to 'Assessment in Progress'). Additional document request 16th March 2016 (submitted same day) Email from case officer 7th April 2016 (just to say we know you're still waiting and we're working on it). Bit disappointing as I'd hoped to be flying out this week. I'm from a low risk country (UK) and my application includes 1 spouse + 2 children. Your application sounds similar to mine only difference being I'm working in Oz at the moment, but application is for me my wife and 2 kids, same as you.
