bazzy007
Hi everyone I know this has probably been answered before but I am currently on a 417 Working holiday visa. I am about to apply for my 189 PR Visa but it wont be granted before my six months work allowance expires. Does anyone know if I will get a bridging visa to allow me to work longer than 6 months with the company, while I am waiting for my PR to be granted. blossom
The bridging visa doesn't kick in until your whv expires. You can apply to have the 6 months limit lifted if you have applied for pr.
MaggieMay24
You may be able to get your work entitlement extended by submitting a completed form 1145. http://www.immi.gov.au/allforms/pdf/1445.pdf I'm not sure under what conditions it may be granted, but have seen it mentioned before on the forums. lebourvellec
Bridging visa normally come with the same work rights as previous visa held. But the 6 month with one employer will be reset on the bridging visa. You may find that if you have 6 months left on your current visa, the 189 may be granted before you are ever on the bridging visa.
Raul Senise
The bridging visa on a subclass 189 has NIL conditions. The issue is that the bridging visa does not come into effect until your current 417 visa expires.
