hesper521
Hello Keighley Thanks for your reply. My agent also told me to expect my visa within three months. That would be great if i can get our visa around 1st week of October. Me and my family really want to start our new life as soon as possible. Where are you moving to once you grant your visa? We will directly head to Melbourne as we have been there since 2008. :cute:

Keighley Hughes
Wow thats really soon what visa did they apply for the 189? Xx
semicharmed13
Yeah for a 189. Unless he is telling porkies...No dependents or partner though....I wonder if that simplifies the CO's decision...
Keighley Hughes
Thats really quick, lets hope our wait wont be too long, they really are sorting them quickly where are you headed? You have a rough date in mind? Xx
semicharmed13
I Know! Keeping fingers and toes crossed we all hear back soon too! Im already in Australia at the moment on a WHV, checking the scene out. I applied for a 189 so that I can continue working for the employer as they weren't ready to sponsor my other half too and I thought the best way to bring him over would be to apply and add him as a dependent/partner....Most complicated situation ever....CO is probably going to start sweating once they see my application....Where are u thinking of moving to? xx

hesper521
Hello Keighley You can call me Freya if you like. There are loads of people who choose to DIY their visa applications. But i like making things easier and quicker. So i prefer to leave those complicated things to an agent. All i need to do is paying money, preparing needed documents and waiting for my visa. Lol. One of my friend has just moved to Brisbane, she loved there at the first sight, then she nd her husband sold their house in Darwin and now live in Brisbane happily. I will definitely have a wonderful holiday in Brisbane if i got chance in the near future. Hope we all can start a new life very very soon..... steveinmunich
Keighley, I wouldnt say using an agent is quicker.
Keighley Hughes
With using my agent though she has everything she needs so im hoping we will get a direct grant rather than a co that will request information etc thats what i mean by quicker i wish it was though the waiting game is horrible xxx
Captain Roberto
We didn't use an agent. It's a bit more confusing and there is more work involved doing it yourself. And we still paid a consultation fee for an agent to clarify some issues before doing an EOI. But doing it yourself isn't any slower, and as long as the end result is good it makes no difference
steveinmunich
Yeah the waiting isnt great.. but ive had in my head 3 months after lodgement, so im trying to stay patient until then:) though i find myself on here on the visa tracker and immi account more and more frequently by the day lol. i lodged 11july. Keighley Hughes
Yeah and we would be so many pounds richer if we hadnt used one but i dont think i could have done it without them me to im on here at all hours of the day but def puts my mind at rest and its exciting seeing everyone get their grants xx
steveinmunich
To be honest, i consulted an agent, but they wanted so much money..6,000. So i said not thanks and did it myself. Yeah its a little more work, but essentially you are doing the same. the agent just tells you what you need but you still have to gather yourself. Of course the agent can word things better and things like that, but i found it not worth 6,000, especially with all the information available online to do it yourself. Captain Roberto
Aye. We didn't exactly choose not to use an agent. We simply couldn't afford it! The money we might have spent on an agent is getting spent moving our dog Lola over there. Priorities! *woof*
Keighley Hughes
It is alot of money we could really do with and put towards other important things i probably do it on my own but im a stress head so if anyone could help i take the help xxx these forums etc are brilliant though so are the people that use them xxx
