charls
Hi everyone, My name is Charls. I applied for ACT state nomination (190) and got denied as according to the new rule they don't accept Skill assessment that is more than three years old. I'm willing to re assess my Skill assessment. I studied community welfare in WA and was there for more than 3 years. One of the other reasons why they denied my visa is because of this that I stayed in WA for more than 3 years, so that they cant consider me as a genuine applicant !! I have been going through the worst time of my life in the last 18 months..... If I get a new re assessment and fix the other issues, will I be able to reapply for the nomination? Since 'Welfare worker' is under 'Limited' option, do I have to re apply for the 'Verification' as well?

You can reapply as many times as you want, it doesn't mean that you will be successful though.

Guest dugles
HI Charls, WA and SA has two different skill lists. Schedule 1 and 2. If your occupation is in list 1. u will be easy to get a nomination. But id ur occupation is in list 2. then still the states can provided you nomination provided u have a job offer. See skill lists 1 and 2 for WA and SA WA : http://www.migration.wa.gov.au/SKILLEDMIGRATION/Pages/Occupationsindemand.aspx Also read the criteria for shc 2 occupation. SA: https://www.migration.sa.gov.au/ Try with this way, May be that's helpful. Please let me know ur occupation code that will be more helpful. try searching all states websites for state nomination and ur occupation. Best of luck

My occupation is 'Welfare worker' which I'm afraid coming under 'Schedule 2' in WA. As a result, I need to show a job offer in order for me to get back there. I tried to get a job offer, but as you can imagine its not yet been successful. All of them asked for a valid work visa in order to give me a job. That's why I applied for ACT nomination as I do not require to have a job offer. But they denied my application as well because during my stay in WA, I never visited Canberra. Thus they don't find me as a genuine applicant. I really don't know what to do anymore
wrussell
If you are not currently represented, you might try consulting one of the registered migration agents who posts on this forum.
