jyotikhtr
Hello, Myself and my spouse have been granted 190 VISA and would be flying in April next year. Now, I wish to have a visa for my mother. I am the only child of my mother. I had not declared her in my VISA application since she is NOT dependent on me. I understand that a permanent (or contributory) visa will be costlier. For now, I would like to go for a tourist or any other VISA which would allow her a maximum stay in Australia. FYI, she would touch 60 next year and will retire from her job too. Please suggest which would be the best option for me. Regards.
Sammy1
A tourist via is your only option if you are not applying for a dependent visa or contributory visa.
Rupert
The tourist visa is the only one I can think of that would be an option at the moment, it allows up to a year I think. Later on, after you have been resident for two years, perhaps you can think about the parent visa.
