NowPerth
Would being treated for depression affect someone's chances of gaining Citizenship? Maybe someone who has been through the process of applying already will know the answer to this.
NickyNook
How could it? You don't need a medical to apply for citizenship.

VERYSTORMY
Citizenship is actually fairly easy - i hate admin things and am not good at them, but even i found this simple. You complete the form on line - it took me about half an hour. It is things like when you arrived in Oz, your visa details and things. Nothing medical You will get an email with an appointment to go and do the test. The test is very simple - you have 45 mins for 20 multiple choice questions and have to get 15 out of 20. I did it in 2 mins and got 20. While there, they will ask to see all your paperwork - passport, birth cert and things. Then, you get a letter approving citizenship then a letter from your council with the invitation to the ceremony. My timeline is Applied mid June Received invite for test about 4 days later Did test 18th July Received approval early august Received invite for ceremony second week of August for November 28th

MovingtoTasmania
Hi, verystormy, may I ask what are the questions about? Thanks! http://www.citizenship.gov.au/learn/cit_test/practice/ Go online here and practice the test. It asks you things like what colours are in the Aborigine Flag and similar questions. You'll be fine x
