sproggo
Hello I have only just joined this forum. I lived in NSW for 26 years, then for some unknown reason I wanted to return to UK to catch up on old school friends. What a mistake - I let my perm visa go and now miss all my friends in oz. Sadly when trying to track my friends and work colleagues down I have discovered 3 have since died. It isn't going to be easy to get back but I guess it serves me right. I hope others think twice before making the same mistake. I hope this forums can help remind me of all I had and lost to give me the strength to fight to get back there. Thanks for letting me join. sproggo
I doubt it will be easy, all siblings and their families are still there and I have no one here so maybe the authorities will take that in to consideration.
lebourvellec
You should speak to a Registered Migration Agent, try George Lombard, there are Resident Return Visas and Returning Resident Visas that you may be eligible for. http://www.pomsinoz.com/forum/migration-issues/138329-my-husband-i-both-got-our-rrvs-pr-restored-after-long-absence-oz.html http://www.immi.gov.au/migrants/residents/visa-options.htm It is often better to apply for these visa in Australia, as the criteria is different.
