Perth - How much do you pay for rent per week?

I've had a few conversations with colleagues who arrived here from the UK a few years ago. I was shocked to hear they are still paying low rents and the landlords have not put the price up by much over the last few years.

 

So, for the benefit of those not here, and for those who have just arrived, how much are you paying for your weekly rent?

After 1yr at our rental it went up $10pw

We had 18 months in our rental and after one year they put it up by $10 per week, we were paying $400

Been here 4 years and rent has gone up $25 from $300 to $325

What if you don't fit into those categories?! We've been here 16 months and pay $430 a week - not had an increase.

 

They tried to put it up $20 per week in September but we informed them they couldn't as it doesn't say they can in our tenancy agreement - pays to learn the rules!
