My main piece of advice is to remember that getting a visa is a process, and it all takes time. I found that it was reasonably straightforward, but I applied for my visa just over 4 years ago, and things have changed a little since then. Best move I ever made, of that I'm sure! But it doesn't work out for everyone, so I reckon it's a good idea to view the move as an adventure and see what comes your way! Good luck.
