  1. It clearly states for 186 DE - have at least 3 years relevant work experience, unless you are exempt So before you apply for 186 you must have at least 3 years relevant work experience.

  3. Might be worth calling immigration - I assume that permanent residency electronic visa record will be on the one that was mentioned in the Visa application so should use that, unsure if Electronic visa record can be linked to 2 passports. The two passports would of been asked for as part of the application form. However I believe only one can have the visa attached - this is an assumption though so best to double check with immigration. At the moment make sure any overseas travel is booked under the passport that the PR is linked to.
  4. Hi Hex, Your Australian PR is linked to your Passport. So once you get a new passport you will need to update this. https://archive.homeaffairs.gov.au/lega/lega/form/immi-faqs/what-if-i-have-a-new-passport What if I have a new passport? If you have been issued with a new passport since your Australian visa was granted, you must notify us of your new passport details to ensure that your record is up-to-date. Failure to update your passport details may result in delays when travelling to Australia. You or registered organisations may be unable to check your visa details online. We have two options with updating your passport: from your ImmiAccount complete Form 929 Change of address and/or passport details (260KB PDF) and email to929@homeaffairs.gov.au For more information see Electronic visa record.

  7. I know people from the UK are fine not to have private health cover as I am from UK and have had a medicare card from the outset and also advised this from my MA who also worked for IMMI for over 10 years
  8. A Bridging visa C can also come with a no work condition. I think it is granted with no work condition but you can apply for this to be lifted if financial hardship etc is shown - think there is a form . Yes best to talk to your MA though! good luck - hopefully you will get your PR through before you need to worry about the new application etc...
  9. This is True, as you have applied for 186 your bridging Visa will kick in once your 457 expires. A bridging visa is a substantive visa - however say if your 186 nomination is refused - you have 28 days to comment or withdraw your 186 application. If you want to withdraw it is recommended to do so on the 28th day - you then have 35 days from the date of withdrawal to either re-submit or apply for another visa (in your case partner visa) HOWEVER you will then be on a bridging visa C - which has a no travel condition. Your MA is probably recommending to apply for Partner before 457 expires otherwise you will be a prisoner (cannot leave Australia) until Visa granted which I have heard Partner can take up to 2 years
  10. Also this says "MOST MIGRANTS" granted permanent residency from 1 January 2019 - I guess this would not apply to those who have been here for a number of years surely?
  11. Hey Millie! Very similar profession (basically falls under the same code). I'm from UK and my Boyfriend (dependent) is from Ireland. @Gighen87 - thanks that is great to know.... hoping its not too much of a wait, my 457 expires in 12th May so will be on Bridging Visa from then, I have a lot of overseas trips this year so ideally want it before the travel (to avoid any further costs on Visas !)
  12. Hi, I am the same as you, did a medical for previsou application and included reference to it in the new application and say no action required. We did the medical in 2017 so definitely will need to do a new one. But our MA says no action required until requested from the Case officer. We are hoping that we won't have to do one again - haha but more than likely will need to re-do as think they expire after one year?
  13. Sorry to ask but can someone give the link for the excel sheet? I have scrolled back so many comments/pages and cannot find it Sorry to be a pain
  14. Hi Navneet - I do not think that this works as my friend complained to the global feedback because she was waiting over 2 years for her DE 186 visa. She received a generic response basically advising to be patience etc... it was nearly another 9 months before her application was looked at. Also ringing the IMMI line you just get basic info - basically what you can see when you check your IMMI account. The advise application is received... It is just a waiting game - and I know it sucks, doesn't help that processing times are not always accurate and don't apply to everyones application
  15. It was refused because there was no updates in the documents provided. As the application was submitted over 2 years prior the documents were out of date, and IMMI do not have to request for information now they can straight out refuse. So She has appealed.
  16. I don't think complaining or calling immigration helps, my friend was waiting for 34 months for her 186 DE visa. As you can imagine she had called, complained after it reached the 24 month mark and nothing helped - it is just a waiting game. She then received news that nomination was refused - very frustrating, they are going through appeal at the moment. I am too waiting on my 186 TRT Occupation: Marketing Specialist State: NSW Stream 457- 186 TRT Number of Applicants: 2 Nomination Applied 14/06/2018 Application Applied 29/06/2018 IMMI Status: Received This last week I have uploaded recent payslips, proof of new UK and AFP Checks (uploaded receipts) to show in progress
