    Hi, we had our medicals yesterday (inc 2 kids aged 8 and 3). We didn't take any school reports as when I rang to book the medicals they told me to ignore that part. The doctor did ask about any learning issues with the kids (they're arent any we know about with kids doing well at nursery/school) but was happy that he could have conversations with both children and marked that as a "no issue". The other part of the medical for the kids was checking their tummy, spine and neck felt ok, looking in their mouth and eyes... that was it. Good luck

    sorry upon checking i got my dates a little wrong up there EOI was submitted 26th October 2018, invite to apply for Visa received 11th November, Visa submitted 19th December. Medicals tomorrow and then wait... Points wise... I had 70

    An interesting thread and glad you're enjoying your new life in Aus. We received our visa invite in Oct 2018 and submitted it December. Got our medicals tomorrow (2 adults, 2 kids) and can't wait to get that final thing done (hopefully it's the final thing!) Before starting the waiting game again... One quick question, the activation thing... Would all 4 of us have to travel to activate the visa if we were lucky enough to get one, or just the main visa applicant- me in this case Thanks

    I'm going into my 14th year as a secondary school teacher (not settled) and whilst this gives me a good point score the flip side is that to gain this experience I've grown old so not many points for that category!

    Figures up to 11th November 2018 recently released, 250 visas granted for 2ndy school teachers out of a total 8480 available so still plenty available

    Oh wow thanks for the info @garrychandi that's good to know. Got our medicals in 2 weeks and out in aus at Easter so may be able to just stay out there!

    Yes I had 70 points and an addition 5 from the state. I'm secondary ICT but have also been doing private maths tuition for 5 years (kind of self taught although my ICT degree contained an element of maths)

    I got an invite for 189 on 10th Nov, EOI had only been in 2 weeks. Have submitted all documentation and just awaiting medical that they requested... then sit tight and hope I guess Does anyone know when the guidelines of 7/8 months processing time actually starts? Is it when the documentation and medicals are all complete? Thanks in advance
